Hexabog prefer to live deep in forests and marshes in solitude, keeping their mushrooms away from people who try to harvest them. When they encounter someone, they can sense hostility, and might try to poison them under the guise of helpfulness.

Hexabog does seem like the vindictive type, then again you'd be too if a human kept trying to take your stuff. Though if they can sense Hostilitiy, I wonder if they can sense other emotions the ones that have little to no hostility they'll actually help out.
